Regis completed his bachelor's of science at UCLA in 2017 with a degree in microbiology, immunology, and molecular genetics. Since then, he has worked as a researcher at the Lowy Medical Research Institute on the MacTel Project, a collaborative translational research venture aimed at finding the cause and treatment of the rare neurodegenerative retinal disease, Macular Telangiectasia. Regis is interested in applying his research experience and education to the national pandemic response and to the support of the children left behind.
