Claire Hannan

Claire M. Hannan is the executive director of the Association of Immunization Managers (AIM), based in Rockville, Maryland. AIM is a nonprofit, membership organization representing public health immunization programs. Ms. Hannan has 23 years of experience in children’s health and immunization and has served as the executive director of AIM since 2004. She works closely with organizations across health sectors to improve and increase state and local public health immunization efforts.

Ms. Hannan serves on the boards of Vaccinate Your Family and the Maryland Partnership for Prevention and chairs the Association of State and Territorial Officials (ASTHO) Affiliate Council. Prior to leading AIM, she worked for ASTHO, Capitol Associates, Inc.—a health lobbying firm, and for the United States Senator Barbara A. Mikulski.

Ms. Hannan received her bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, and her master of public health degree in health policy from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. She is an avid runner and former college athlete. She and her husband have a son and a daughter.
